One-on-one instruction allows for hands-on learning at the student’s pace, covering anything from the basics of sailing to advanced techniques like boat handling, sail trim, or docking. It’s a personalized, engaging way to build confidence on the water while enjoying a memorable sailing experience.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Private Lesson curriculums are completely customizable. Your instructor will have a quick discussion prior to the lesson to determine your goals and the best path forward.
SCHEDULE
Private lessons can be scheduled on demand start from 10:00am - 5:00pm. For a weekend class, please contact us directly for scheduling.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and dress for the weather. Layers in cooler temperatures and lighter clothes in warmer temperatures. Always remember your hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Can I take the boat out without an instructor?

No, an instructor must always be present.

What if I do not know how to sail?

That is okay! Our instructors will take you through the sailing basics and give you a sailing experience on the Hudson!

Can I take a private lesson other than the scheduled times?

Yes! Lesson start times are fully customizable. Please get in contact with us to schedule your lesson.

When should I take a private lesson?

You should take a private lesson if you want a sailing experience but do not want to commit to our Learn to Sail class. The private lesson is also great for mastering one specific skill.
